MyComicShop prices on Warriors of Plasm issues:
I consider these prices to be essentially a price guide. I’m going to begin tracking them because I believe they are primed to increase in value. It’s interesting to note that only one grade is listed as available in stock at this time on every issue except number 13. An additional comment I have is I think it’s lazy of MyComicShop to keep the VF prices of the issues in cases that’s the highest grade in stock equal to the NM prices of the cases wherein that’s the highest grade in stock. They should either increase the NM prices of those issues, or decrease the VF prices of the others. I’d add that if they have a harder time keeping certain issues in stock in NM, I’d personally increase the value of that comic book for my own purposes. MyComicShop buys and sells so many comics, I truly use their site as a gauge of the market, although many times over the years I’ve taken advantage of them when they didn’t react quickly enough to price increases or to the fact their own inventory was becoming depleted on a modern back issue. As an aside, when I first started studying MyComicShop prices, their lowest price for any comic for sale on their site was 1.10. About ten years or so ago they raised their lowest price on a comic offered for sale to 1.70. I think that was one of the first major changes I saw when it appeared Buddy was no longer overseeing day to day operations of Lone Star Comics. That is speculation on my part, but I believe that’s what likely happened.
Warriors of Plasm MyComicShop prices: 1 NM 2.00 2 NM 2.00 3 NM 2.00 4 VF 2.00 5 NM 2.00 6 VF 2.00 7 VF 2.00 8 VF 2.00 9 VF 2.00 10 VF 2.00 11 NM 2.00 12 VF 2.00 13 VF 3.20 FN 2.40

Pricing in retail can be a tricky thing. There are psychological factors and consumer perception that come into play. Sometimes when prices are too low on an item, sales drop because the perception is that the product is inferior in some way. I would be willing to bet that if #13 was priced $5 in VF, that it would actually sell better and spark sales on the other issues also.

I just made an offer on a complete set of Warriors of Plasm on eBay. I want the set because I want to get it custom bound, so I can pull it off my bookshelf anytime and read it. I’m posting about this here because if the seller accepts my offer there will only be one Warriors of Plasm complete set listed by a U.S. seller on eBay. I’ve sold tens of thousands and tens of thousands of comics in my lifetime. Warriors of Plasm are primed to go up in price. I’ve decided that my CGC goals are to put together two sets graded by that company. One is the New Universe’s Star Brand. The other is Warriors of Plasm. I love those two titles.
